ENCE 4358 - Structural Steel Design

Prerequisite: ENCE 2351  , credit or registration in ENCE 2311 . Concepts of and introduction to elastic and plastic design of steel structures. Elastic design of structural elements, i.e. tension members, columns, beams, beam-columns and connections, incorporating AISC design specifications and manual. Critical comparisons of specifications with theories. Graduate students enrolled in ENCE 5358  must carry out additional work to earn the graduate credit.
