ENCE 4340 - Foundation Engineering

Prerequisite for ENCE-4340: ENCE 3340 . Application of soil mechanics principles to the design of footings, foundations, embankments, and retaining walls. Subsurfaces investigations, dewatering, deep excavations, piles, caissons and cofferdams. Case histories will be cited. Graduate students enrolled in ENCE 5340  must carry out additional work to earn the graduate credit.
