(NAME 4728 and ENME-4728 are cross-listed.) Prerequisites for ENME-4728 and NAME 4728: ENME 3720. Classification of partial differential equations, mathematical description of fluid flow phenomena. Survey of various discretizaiton methods for the equations of fluid mechanics, including finite difference, finite volume and weighted residual methods. Basic algorithms for solving fluid mechanics problems. Introduction to grid generation. Application of existing CFD codes to practical engineering problems.
