After completing this Graduate Certificate program, if students choose to apply to the MBA program, they will be unconditionally admitted and the four course credits (12 credit hours) earned will automatically apply toward the required MBA credits (11 courses total, 33 credit hours total). Students must meet prerequisites for all of the core MBA courses prior to enrolling in MBA coursework.
This program assumes applicants have a basic knowledge of business principles and fundamentals. Those with non-business undergraduate degrees must first pass three courses in business foundations - ACCT 5400, MANG 5400, and QMBE 5400 - which comprise the Business Foundations Post-Baccalaureate Certificate.

Program Description

The Business Administration. G.C. or the “mini-MBA” is designed to give individuals dedicated training to build advanced business knowledge and skills. Students may use the certificate to advance their careers, explore new industry sectors, and gain key technical skills. Graduate Certificate in Business Administration can boost credibility and skills.
Program Overview:
The Business Administration. G.C. allows anyone with a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution and who meets the University of New Orleans’s admission criteria to take any four (4) of the core MBA courses as long as course prerequisites have been met. To earn the certificate, students must apply for the certificate and the cumulative graduate GPA for the four core MBA courses taken must be 3.0 or higher.
The Business Administration, G.C. is a stackable 4-course micro-credential that can be completed in two semesters. The certificate program should attract students who want to take some graduate business classes without committing to a multi-year master’s program. In two semesters, completers can have an official graduate certificate credential to list on their resumes and portfolios as their most recent educational accomplishment. We expect most students who complete the Business Administration, G.C. to matriculate into the full MBA degree program.
