The Undergraduate Certificate in Software Engineering is designed to teach students how to apply the principles of software engineering to the design, development, testing and maintenance of software systems.
Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) for UC Software Engineering
Identify, formulate, and solve problems by applying principles of software engineering in particular, science and mathematics, in general.
Implement software design specifications and produce software documentation based on best practices.
Function effectively and ethically as a member or leader of a software development team engaged in activities appropriate to the field.
