This course is the first of two residency courses where teachers demonstrate knowledge, skills, and dispositions of an effective teacher. Candidates work alongside a mentor teacher and complete site-based performance activities observations, and school-based professional development. The teacher candidate will be supervised in all residency experiences by a team comprised of a school based mentor, the residency school site principal, or designee, and university faculty member.
