Prerequisite: One English course that includes nonfiction (ENGL 2218, ENGL 2258, ENGL 2031, ENGL 2032, ENGL 2341, ENGL 2342, ENGL 2071, ENGL 2072, ENGL 2279, ENGL 2378) or consent of department. An introduction to the basic forms, techniques, and subgenres of creative nonfiction writing, including personal essays, literary journalism, profiles, memoir, writing about the natural world, travel writing, and others.

Prerequisites/Corequisites: Credit for one English course that includes nonfiction (ENGL 2218, 2258, 2031, 2032, 2341, 2342, 2071, 2072, 2279, 2378) is required.
