ENGL 3381 - Intro to Contemporary Theory College of Liberal Arts, Education and Human Development
Lecture - Credits: 3
This course provides an introduction to contemporary theory and its application. Examining frameworks such as feminism, Marxism, post colonialism, critical race studies, ecocriticism, and aesthetics, students will explore the value of these theoretical tools for the interpretation of literature and other cultural artifacts. Prerequisites: credit for ENGL 1158 or ENGL 1159 and English ENGL 2258 , at least six hours of literature courses from 2000-2999, and more than forty-four total undergraduate credit hourse.
Prerequisites/Corequisites: Credit for ENGL 1158 or ENGL 1159 and ENGL 2258 , more than 44 credit hours, at least 6 hours literature courses from 2000-2999 is required. Grading Basis: Graded Repeatable: N Consent Required to Add No Consent Required to Drop No
