This course introduces students to integrative learning theory and opportunities for practices at the University of New Orleans. In addition to course lectures and readings introducing the history and structure of a research university and integrative approaches to learning within that context, students will engage with visiting lecturers from a variety of UNO academic departments and units who will introduce students their fields of integrative research and practice. While the course is required for IDS majors, it is open to all students interested in pursuing an integrative approach to what they learn in their general education, elective, and major courses (in any major) as well as in an experiential learning and career-oriented settings.
